Registered professional learning
Registered professional learning courses are available to support schools in implementing the new English K‑10 syllabus. Courses can be completed individually or in collaborative learning groups run across the whole school, a faculty or a Stage. An experienced teacher or supervisor leads a group of teachers through these courses as a
presenter. Note: DEC intranet only.

SyllabusPLUS sessions were intially run using Adobe Connect. Each 30 minute session has been recorded for teachers to access and review in their own time, either individually or in teams.

Building capacity resources
An overview of the English syllabus at https://detwww.det.nsw.edu.au/australiancurriculuminnsw/resources/english-resources describes how the objectives and outcomes work together to realise the intent of the NSW English K–10 syllabus. The resources build teachers' capacity to understand aspects of the English K‑10 syllabus which are new or may be challenging. They are intended to be downloaded locally and used for professional learning, complementing familiarisation with the syllabus.
